As always we ask that all students attend the ceremony to support their fellow students and also because we do present other awards such as perfect attendance, student of the month, academic achievement and various patches. We also ask that all attending students please wear their studio uniform.
There is still time to sign-up for a demonstration! Please see Sifu with what you wish to perform and your assistant’s name, if applicable. This includes children of all ranks, adult JKD, adult FMA, adult Muay Thai, adult Madjapahit, and women’s kickboxing.

Good morning everyone! We will be having our annual Christmas party for the children’s class this week. We will be having this a bit different than in the past. Below is how it will work:
There will be three separate Christmas parties for each respective class – homeschool, beginner’s and advanced. Each party will be toward the end of the normal class time. Therefore, homeschool class will have their party on Thursday morning, beginner class will have their party on Thursday night, and advanced class will have their party on Friday night – all this week.
Parents are more than welcome to donate small snacks (cookies, muffins, etc) and drinks (small water bottles, small juice boxes, etc).
There will also be a gift exchange in each class. This is very simple: bring a gift to take home a gift! This means that all students and their siblings may participate in the gift exchange. We ask that each person that wants to participate to please bring a wrapped, non-gender specific, gift in the price range of $2.00 to $5.00. When the child arrives for class please have them deliver the gift to Si Mo. She will be collecting all gifts and noting which children will be participating.
We know that this week is busy for everyone but we look forward to seeing everyone.

Testing for promotions is coming soon!! Testing will begin mid-December and will end on January 6th. Once the student has tested and the test information is completed by Sifu then the parents/students will receive an invoice. The payments are due as soon as possible but no later than Friday, January 6, 2011. There is a flat $15.00 test fee regardless of class or rank. The rank fee will vary depending on the current rank and the rank the student is promoting to.
For the children’s classes we do award a patch for academic achievement. We believe that education is very important for our children’s futures and therefore encourage our students to do their very best in their studies. Please submit a copy of your child’s report card dated after November 1, 2011 so that we may recognize their hard work.

There is a sign-up sheet in the front office for those students that wish to test. Please read the label of each sheet correctly to be sure you sign-up on the right one (example: beginner children, Adult JKD, etc.)
